We know that whenever the main earner of a poor family dies suddenly, a mountain of grief falls on that family. The family faces many problems after the death of the main earner. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Gujarat has implemented Sankat Mochan Yojana to provide financial assistance to the head of poor families in Gujarat in case of accidental or natural death.Under this Sankat Mochan Yojana, in case of sudden, sudden and natural death of the main earner from any poor family in the state of Gujarat, the Government of Gujarat will provide his family with Rs. 20,000/- provides financial assistance. This financial help will help the poor family a lot. After availing the benefit under this scheme, she becomes a widow of a poor family and can get financial assistance of 750/- per month under the widow assistance scheme.
Eligibility of applicant for Sankat Mochan Scheme
- The head of the family may have died.
- In case of any kind of accidental or natural death, the applicant's family will get benefit under Sankat Mochan Yojana.
- Applicant should be a BPL beneficiary.
- Deceased head of family should be between 18 to 60 years of age.
- The main person of the family will be male or female.
- Application has to be made within 2 years from the date of death. After 2 years of application, the benefit will not be available.
